Applications API

Create applications, list your applications, and update their GitHub repository configuration through the Portal API.

List applications

cURL
curl https://api.droplet.app/portal/applications \
-H "Authorization: Bearer DRP_your_token_here"

Create an application

Application names may contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. A repository is optional at creation time, but a GitHub repository and a successful plan payment are required before provisioning.

cURL
curl -X POST https://api.droplet.app/portal/applications \
-H "Authorization: Bearer DRP_your_token_here" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"name": "my-app",
"repositoryUrl": "https://github.com/you/my-app",
"repositoryProvider": "github",
"productionBranch": "main",
"previewBranch": "main",
"planId": "starter"
}'
FieldRequiredNotes
nameYesLowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
repositoryUrlNoCurrently, provisioning supports GitHub URLs
productionBranchNoProduction deployment branch. Defaults to main
previewBranchNoPreview deployment branch. Defaults to main
planIdNostarter or standard; defaults to Starter

Application endpoints

  • GET /portal/applications - list applications
  • GET /portal/applications/:applicationId - view an application
  • GET /portal/applications/:applicationId/deployments - list deployments
  • PATCH /portal/applications/:applicationId/repository - update the GitHub repository and production branch

Creating an application does not by itself activate or provision it. Use the billing checkout flow, then wait for payment confirmation and provisioning before expecting a deployment URL.
